Below are some of the personal projects that I have worked on alongside my career. Each of these have been done on a voluntary basis.

Book Refuge

Founder | 2014 - 2020

Book Refuge aims to make literature more accessible to those who have been made homeless in London. The project has put libraries into homeless shelters across the UK's capital and was nominated by The Big Issue as one of the 'Top 100 Changemakers of 2020'.

Caste Aside Documentary

Producer | 2017

This year-long project saw me explore caste discrimination among British Asian communities here in the UK. My role involved conducting all the research for the documentary, as well as finding suitable interviewees and conducting the interviews. The documentary was screened across the globe and aired on UK television.

International Press Foundation

Editor-in-Chief | 2013 - 2017

The International Press Foundation was a website for young and aspiring journalists to gain experience. I managed a team of editors and contributors around the world for four years, conducting editorial meetings, reviewing articles for the website and commissioning content from young journalists.

We shut down the website in 2017 due to lack of funding.
